This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in the 2020 Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China for the determination of the softening point of rosin. It is an upgraded product of the latest softening point tester developed by our company and is suitable for testing the softening point of substances such as rosin. According to the pharmacopoeia requirements, an appropriate amount of the sample is taken for the softening point test, and the test is conducted according to the regulations (General Rule 2102: Method for Determination of the Softening Point of Plasters). The heating rate should be approximately 5.0°C ± 0.5°C per minute, and the softening point should not be lower than 76.0°C. Additionally, this instrument also complies with the softening point testing requirements specified in GB/T 8146-2003 Test Methods for Rosin.

I. Main Features

1. This instrument features a compact benchtop design, utilizing microcomputer control, linear heating, and automatic stirring to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results. The test results are automatically displayed upon completion.

2. The beaker is made of high-temperature-resistant glass, and the heating rate, steel ball positioning ring, steel ball, and other specifications comply with standard requirements.

3. The water bath is equipped with an automatic stirring device and uses an LCD screen to display time and temperature. It can test two samples simultaneously, offering convenience and reliable results.

4. It features mains power compensation, ensuring that the heating rate is unaffected by voltage fluctuations, thereby guaranteeing the accuracy of test results.

5. The maximum heating temperature of the test bath is 160°C.

II. Main Technical Parameters

2. Measurement range: (1) For samples with a softening point below 80°C, distilled water is used as the heating medium,

+5°C to +80°C;

(2) For samples with a softening point above 80°C, silicone oil is used as the heating medium,

+32°C to +160°C;

4. Stirrer: Stirring speed is continuously adjustable;

5. Heating rate: Automatically adjusted to (5.0 ± 0.5)°C/min after three minutes;
